Collectibles (especially plants) keep highlighted from a distance. See screenshot:

Steps To Reproduce

Highlight an object in first person.
Open spectator with F8.
Teleport to the spectator with Ctrl+Space.
Observe the object is still highlight.
Hover the object again, and then unhover to hide it.
