Description | I run a dedicated vanilla server on the latest CE update in Australia, I've been talking to a couple of other server hosts, one in the UK and one in the US who also have Vanilla Dedicated Servers or close to it. We are all experiencing huge memory hogging from Medieval Engineers that eventually results in a crash and causes issues for players before that, massive lagspikes/jittering, disappearing objects, things progressively getting worse. A couple of the other hosts host multiple different games on the one box with anywhere up to 64Gb of RAM and they find that Medieval Engineers can hog all the way up to 31-36Gb of RAM at peak before it crashes. We have recently migrated the Medieval Engineers Dedicated Server to it's own box but are still experiencing issues. Obviously this shouldn't be happening and it's not a once off because it's present with multiple server hosts. If you want some more information get in contact with myself and if you want access to the server to run telemetry or something I am happy to oblige, I'd like to see this get fixed as much as the rest of you as this game is brilliant and we really want to support you all doing the best job you can. | ||||

I can confirm this exactly I have personal DS server with 64 gb ram I have also noted it will get laggie and sometimes crash when memory reaches the 30 to 34 gb range I have even went so far as to memtest my system as I was concerned that I had bad mem (I did not) I added the second 32 gb thinking this would help ME run better It has not changed if high player count doing complex building or Mechanical hits the mem threshold in less than the 6 hours I have between scheduled resets |
