Summary0000341: Typing in the search bar of the G menu opens different menus
Description

when typing in the search box, pressing any keys associated with menus such as K or G etc exits the search page and goes to the other menu, seems to happen inconsistently but the cursor is still flashing in the search box regardless, Might have something to do with the automatic search box selection on menu open.

Steps To Reproduce

press g type something like "wood"

works as intended

press g and try to type "plank"

immediately opens research screen once k is pressed, but search works as intended for "p-l-a-n" but not "k"
