Summary0000545: Make Earth Flat Again
Description

At first I thought this would be impossible, but from what I understad, you have access to the source code. If that's not the case, then I won't bother pushing this.

In any case, while I get the idea behind having a round map, I never thought it worked well in Medieval Engineers. The map simply isn't big enough for the curvature to feel natural. It always looks like I am standing on the top of a mountain due to the short view. And have you ever built across the grid? It gets weird...

As humans, we're used to a planet whose circumference is 40,000 km. The radius of the ingame planet is approximately 10 km, which makes the circumference 63 km. That is the exact distance between the top of the Eiffel Tower and the horizon.

Other than that, the map is great. I like the diversity, and it's more than big enough to play around in.

I probably should have made this clear in the original post: I don't want to force this onto everyone, I just want it as an alternative to the round map.

I'm going to close this, since I believe it's possible using modding. Either entirely (full flat earth replacement) or by making a much larger modded planet that only has content on a small (very nearly flat) area.
In fact many modded planets made in the last few years already only have content in one of the 6 kingdoms and are designed for 15-20km planets.
