-
Water (I don't know if this is yet possible) - Pretty straightforward, although along with water could be new tools and additions that can be used to make ships that utilize a global wind system, like in Sea of Thieves
-
More modern.. everything? - The GUI looks a bit outdated in my opinion, the game could look a lot more appealing if it were to be updated and revamped, along with old-looking models and such
-
An at least rudimentary character editing system - One of my biggest grievances with Space Engineers and Medieval Engineers alike: I'm African-American, I don't want to be a white dude, I don't take my helmet off because we all look the same, the character editor could have basic features like skin-tone, sex, hair, and height (which would be very limited for obvious reasons), perhaps
-
Weaponry and armor (..unless you want to spend the rest of your days in an apron, that is) - Hooray, this allows us to skip straight 'till after the Warfare update, the game could definitely use some player weapons (Swords, bows, maces, shields, a basic combat system, maybe) and sets of armor (chainmail, full ironclad, etc.), it'd spice up PvP a lot
-
Improved AI (Bandit raids, town citizens, knights?) - As a game developer, I am fully aware of how complicated this can get, especially since VRAGE doesn't have the same tools that other engines may have that makes using AI pretty simple, but in case this is plausible for your team, it could bring a whole new social system into it. I had an idea that every player has a local reputation with the citizens of naturally generating villages, and perhaps a reputation with specific citizens. A horrible reputation with a village (caused by destroying a house, for example) would result in you being banished, so the knights will refuse to let you in, attempt will be met by force. If you have your own 'kingdom', you can declare war on another, or they can declare war on you, war is always fun
6: Horses - Horses.
7: Economy - Silver (or Gold) coins, trade with players and merchants who can sell all sorts of things, (including boats if water can be added) like weapons and carts of materials, maybe dying results in dropping the coins in the form of a pouch?
8: FOOD More food. More ways to make food.
9: Expeditions - Essentially places to loot, some with traps and other dangers, others pretty easy
10: Instruments - Flutes, lutes, drums, we must bard
11: Quality of life additions - More animals (passive ones like birds, cows (for milk), chickens (for eggs), docile animals like bears, boars, and wolves (please not like the ones from Space Engineers), more meat to eat), fruit and vegetables, weather (storms, snow, hail), more biomes (snowy forests, denser woods), again, improved models to make the game look more appealing to the eye (I was going to get this game until I watched gameplay, I waited a long time for an update), ambient noises to bring more life into the game, ambient particles like leaves blowing in the breeze, some calm music for sunrise/sunset (unless you're under attack, of course, but most of the music is sort of 'epic', we could so with chill music to vibe to while creating another weapon of mass destruction

Steps To Reproduce |
-
If Medieval Engineers runs on the newer version of VRAGE with water physics, it would be nice to have water be transportable - if transporting water isn't possible, it would still be really nice for the game to have a buoyancy system so that we can construct boats
-
Some (a lot) of the models may need redoing, many of which look either too smooth texture-wise or too triangulated in shape
-
Straightforward, but perhaps we could get items of clothing as well, like different hats and attire?
-
It could be a simple block-and-parry system, though weapons would probably need to run out of durability at some point. Armor allows you to take less damage (until it is broken, if a durability system is in place)
-
I don't know how to explain this any more than I have, but one thing I must note is that merchants would have outposts, like the stations in Space Engineers. If you steal from them, you will not be able to trade with merchants until your reputation with them is restored, and your reputation with the kingdom they are from (which could be indicated by unique flags for different discovered factions) decreases greatly
-
Horses would be really useful for pulling carts and chariots, so they'd need to have a maximum 'horsepower' depending on the size and breed (this would allow for some horses to be sold if an economy system is implemented), you can tame horses you find in the wild, and if merchant posts are added, you can buy them as well
-
This one is pretty simple, I don't know how to elaborate
-
This could be expanded greatly, adding pots and pans and such. An example is that by using a mill grinder to grind wheat, adding water (where you find water, I do not know) into the iron and putting over a stove, you can make bread, these things can be sold to merchants and would restore a lot more hunger, with a regenerative factor if you eat when the hunger bar is at it's max, and with pans we could cook meat (and eggs, if chickens are added)
-
Whether it be an abandoned tower or an old dungeon, there's so much potential that could come from adding these rare structures
-
We would be able to make our own songs by playing the lute, for example, and perhaps we could save a song we make so that we can play it using the instrument whenever we want without having to actually play it again, although perhaps there could be a little rhythm minigame on the screen so that you don't play the wrong notes - a purely social but fun feature
-
Nothing to explain here
